The Black Student Union went face-to-face with Alpha Sigma in a comedy stand off Thursday.

The idea was taken from the MTV show Wild N Out written by Nick Cannon. Both groups went against each other to see which team would be crowned the funniest.

Raven Nevels, a member of BSU, said she was impressed with number of people who showed up for the event.

“It was a good turnout mainly because everyone on both teams were involved,” she said.

Nevels was involved in the event by participating as a Wild N Out girl. She said the event is a good way for students to spend time together on campus.

“Kids come to express creativity and have fun in a positive manner,” she said.

Alpha Sigma pledge, Caleb Bergman is a current freshman, and this was his first Wild N Out experience.

“It was fun, but it would’ve been better if I knew what I was doing,” he said Bergman.

Alpha Sigma made it mandatory for pledges do participate in the event as part of their initiations. After doing it for the first time Bergman believes he will do it again in the future.

As both teams went back and forth to win the rounds at the end of the event, Alpha Sigma was deemed the winners and was able to take home the comedy crown.
